What is ESN Zürich?

The Erasmus Student Network is active at more than two hundred European Universities. Our mission is to facilitate social integration of international students. ESN Zürich has been active as a section since 1994.

How can I contact ESN Zürich?

For questions about registered events, please contact the event organizer that you can find in your confirmation e-mail. You can find further information about our office and how you can contact us on this page. The easiest way you can get in touch with us directly for general questions is to message us on Instagram. We're always happy to help!

Can I participate in the events of ESN Zürich?

Yes, anyone can participate. However, the ESN Card (and the discounts it offers) is only for exchange students at ETH, UZH, ZHdK, PHZH and OST.

Can I still participate in an events that is fully booked?

It depends on the event. In general, it's not possible. There's a reason why we limit the spots: the coordinator might not have the capacity to guide a larger group, maybe the tickets for a certain event are limited etc.

How can I find out about the next events?

All information is available on our homepage, which you can check regularly. Furthermore, our events are promoted on all our social media channels.

How do I register for an event?

To join one of our events, you have to sign up online for the corresponding event. If the event is for free, you get a confirmation e-mail immediately. If the event requires the payment of a registration fee, you have to pay the whole amount on the same day.

How do I pay for an event?

After your registration, you'll be able to pay instantly or find all information about the payment in the confirmation email. We only accept online payment.

  • You can pay directly online by using any credit card. There are no additional fees and your registration is instantly confirmed.
  • Consider Revolut to get a free credit card if you don't have one yet.

If we don't receive the complete participation fee on time, you'll be deleted from the registration list, so that other students can take your spot. You can check the status of your registration by clicking on the link in the registration email.

You'll be registered definitely as soon as we get the money, which has to be before the registration deadline. Be aware that some events have a limited capacity. If an event is already full, your registration is added to a waiting list.

What happens if I have to cancel my participation in an event shortly before the event takes place?

If for some reasons you can't participate in an event you are definitively registered for, please cancel 72h in advance. Otherwise, you must find another person on your own to replace or you won't be refunded. This is because reservations can't be undone, group discounts aren't valid if not everybody is present and you cause a lot of additional work for the coordinators. How much money you get back will be decided by the event coordinator as the case arises.

In any case, immediately contact the event coordinator to find a solution.

Do you have a WhatsApp group?

Where can I buy an ESNcard?

You can buy one at our office in the CAB building of ETH, Universitätsstrasse 6 or at some events in the Welcome Week.
