The Zürich Marathon is on, so we will be walking a little bit outside the city to avoid the crowds.

We will be meeting at the top of the Rigiblick funicular. 

The funciular is included in the regular Zürich city ticket (Zone 110). Feel free to walk up if you prefer, but make sure to arrive at the top at 14:30 so we can begin the walk on time.

The weather is forecast to be cloudy, with rain having fallen earlier in the day. As a result please note it may be a little muddy!

The route is 9km long with 200 meters up and 330 meters down. 

From Rigiblick we will walk towards the Zoo. On this path we will have a good view of the city and the lake if the clouds are not too low.

After passing the Zoo, we will enter the forest near the FIFA headquarters. We will then walk to the peak of the Adlisberg (+90 meters) and climb the Loorenkopf observation tower (see photo).

Then, we will walk back down to the Burgwies tram stop.
