Ever wondered what the famous Matterhorn (the Toblerone mountain) looks like up close? Join us on an unforgettable 2-day trip to Zermatt, one of Switzerland’s most picturesque alpine villages and its stunning surrounding mountains!

We will meet in Zurich HB on Saturday  at 7:15 and we come back on Sunday in the evening.

Trip Highlights

Day 1

• Arrive at the youth hostel and settle in

• Take the gondola up to Sunegga and enjoy the 5 Lakes Zermatt Hike (it's not the Pizol one, it's another one! Switzerland likes to have 5-Lakes hikes ahah!)

• Gondola ride back down (to save our knees)

• Dinner at the hostel (not fondue this time, included in the price)

• Relax, have a drink together, or call it an early night

Day 2

• Start the day with a nice breakfast (included in the price)

  After that, we’ll decide together with the exchangies what to do once the registrations are closed (but before the event so you have time to prepare); some options include:
  • Another short hike, including a suspension bridge!
  • Some exploring around Zermatt
  • or just relaxing and enjoying the mountain views!

In case of bad weather: no worries! We will do a shorter and easier hike. If the weather is really bad, we’ll bring board games, chill at the hostel with some drinks, or take a cozy walk around the town to discover Zermatt’s charming corners.

Please bring with you proper hiking shoes and clothes otherwise you can not take part in the hike.

What is included in the price:

• Transportation from Zurich to Zermatt and back
• Gondola rides to Sunnega
• Accommodation at the Youth Hostel Zermatt in 4-beds or 6-beds bedrooms
• Dinner at the hostel
• Breakfast at the hostel

What is NOT included in the price:

• Lunch for Saturday and Sunday

Cancellation & refund policy - for this event the refund policy is a bit different than the usual:

• > 10 days before the event: full refund
• 10-5 days before the event: full refund if you can find someone to take your spot
• < 5 days before the event: no refund

• There is limited capacity for participants older than 24 years.  

• Spots are first come, first served!
