After registering, you have two weeks’ time to buy an ESNcard from our office - please note the eligibility criteria. Make sure to pay the participation fee on time (usually till midnight of the day of the registration) in order to save your spot, despite not having an ESNcard yet.

These prices include a 20CHF deposit for the skipass. You will receive the deposit after returning your ski pass at the counter.

An exchange in Switzerland without a ski trip is out of question! 

On 5th of December we will head to Davos for 3 days of skiing and snowboarding. Davos is not only a famous and big ski resort, it is also the higest city of Europe and it hosts the World Economic Forum every year. Davos has also its own reputation for great night life vibes!

Friday morning we will take the train already dressed up in ski clothes and after a quick check-in at our youth hostel, it's straight onto the slopes. Later in the day we will enjoy some après-ski fresh beers or "Glühwein" down in Davos before going for fondue offered by your dear ESN. On Saturday we will repeat the ski and après-ski and have dinner in town. On Sunday we will be skiing one last day and come back home in the evening. Make sure you get your Monday off to recover from the intense week-end! ;) On each day we can select between the two resorts Jakobshorn and Parsenn to ski or snowboard.

Meeting point: Zürich HB main hall, under the blue angel at 07:13 AM in ski clothes.

Sunday, 07.12.2024: Davos Platz 17:56 - Zürich HB 20:22

Requirements:

• You are an ESNcard holder of ESN Zurich.
• You should be at least 18 years old.
• This is the first time joining the ESN ski trip in Davos.
• You will wear a helmet while skiing/snowboarding.
• You need to be able to ski. There will be no courses offered. However, participants are free to book ski/snowboard lessons for themselves.
• Bring your skis or you can rent in Davos. We will send you a link to enter the necessary information. The price DOES NOT include the ski rental though.
• Every participant is responsible to have a valid health and accident insurance (It is also worth considering a helicopter rescue service: https://www.rega.ch/en/rega-patron/become-a-patron).

*Disclaimer*

We hope for snow, but cannot guarantee that all or, if any, slopes will be opened; out of experience, there shall be enough snow. We are thinking of activities to do in case of unfavourable weather. The ski pass does not get refunded in case of unfavourable weather, even if the whole ski resort gets closed. Replacement activities (like for example: visiting the swimming pool/spa, sledging etc.) are not included in the participation fee.

• Rental of ski equipment (optional)
