You can buy ESNcards directly at the event. To be able to purchase it you need to be studying as an exchange student from one of the universities in Zürich (UZH, ETHZ, PHZH, OST or ZHdK).

These prices include a deposit of 20CHF for the skipass.

An exchange in Switzerland without a ski trip is out of question! This year we want to host the legendary ESN Ski Weekend not only in the fall semester but also in the spring semester! 

On the 28th of February we will head to Davos for 3 days of skiing and snowboarding. Davos does not only include a famous and large ski resort, it is also the highest positioned European city and hosts the World Economic Forum every year. The city has a reputation for a great nightlife!

Friday morning we will take the train already dressed up in ski clothes and after a quick check-in at our hostel, it's straight onto the slopes. Later in the day we may enjoy some après-ski down at Bolgen all together as a group. For dinner, there is a voluntary fondue (see price section down below for the additional cost). On Saturday we will repeat the ski and après-ski. The night is young and the nightlife of Davos is exciting - so let's party! On Sunday we will be skiing one last day and come back home to Zürich in the evening. Both Jakobshorn and Parsenn ski areas are included in the ski pass. Make sure you get Monday off to recover from the intense week-end! ;)

Itinerary:

Friday, 28.02.2025:

• Meeting point: Zürich HB main hall, under the blue angel at 07:15 am in ski clothes.

• train ride: Zürich HB - Davos Platz 09:58
• check-in hostel
• go straight on the slopes (usually at least 4 hours of skiing possible)
• voluntary fondue dinner all together with ESN (extra cost)

Saturday, 01.03.2025:

• early start on the slopes
• full day of skiing/snowboarding
• après-ski together
• everyone pays for their own dinner
• party night out

Sunday, 02.03.2025:

• check out hostel
• full day of skiing/snowboarding
• train back home: Davos Platz 18:01 - Zürich HB 20:22

Requirements:

• You are an Zurich-ESNcard holder.
• You should be at least 18 years old.
• Students who have never been to an ESN Ski trip before get prioritized.
• You are an exchange student or an international student (in Zürich for 1 or 2 semesters)
• You will wear a helmet while skiing/snowboarding.
• You need to be able to ski/snowboard. There will be no courses offered. However, participants are free to book ski/snowboard lessons for themselves.
• Bring your skis/snowboard or you can rent in Davos. We will send you a link to enter necessary information. The price DOES NOT include the ski rental though. Ski goggles, pants and jackets can not be rented.
• Every participant is responsible to have a valid health and accident insurance (It is also worth considering a helicopter insurance: https://www.rega.ch/en/rega-patron/become-a-patron). ESN Zurich will not cover medical costs resulted from an accident.

We cannot guarantee great weather but there should be enough snow. We are thinking of activities to do in case of unfavourable weather. The ski pass does not get refunded in case of unfavourable weather, even if the whole ski resort gets closed (terms and conditions set by the ski resort).

• Train tickets
• Hostel for 2 nights & breakfast (saturday and sunday)
• Skipass for 3 days for the whole ski resort (deposit of 20.- included; one will obtain this deposit back after returning the skipass at the reception)

Not included:

• Fondue Dinner on Friday -> if you want to join ESN for the Fondue, pay the price in the table "with Fondue" (it's an extra 33.- CHF)
• Dinner on Saturday (or also Friday depending on if you join the Fondue)
• Lunch in the ski resort
• Après Ski
• Rental of ski equipment (optional)
• ski/snowboard lessons
