Stoos Ridge Panorama Hike | |||||
Join us for an exhilarating day of hiking in the stunning Swiss Alps! This adventure begins with a scenic ride up the Stoosbahn, the steepest funicular in the world, to the car-free mountain village of Stoos. From there, we will embark on our journey to the summit of Fronalpstock (1,922 meters), where you'll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of over 10 lakes and countless mountain peaks, including the majestic Alps of central Switzerland. After soaking in the views at Fronalpstock, we'll traverse the renowned Gratwanderweg—a stunning ridge walk that offers some of the most spectacular vistas in the region. This trail takes us along the ridgeline, where we'll experience 360-degree views as we hike from Fronalpstock to Klingenstock (1,935 meters). The path is well-maintained but narrow and exposed in places, adding an element of adventure to our hike. Once we reach Klingenstock, we’ll take a moment to enjoy the incredible scenery before beginning our descent back to Stoos. The descent offers a mix of rugged terrain and lush meadows, giving you a full taste of the diverse landscapes that make this area so special. What to Bring:
