Intro to Ballroom Dancing

Are you looking for an opportunity to take your best suit/dress out to an elegant event with music? Or are you just curious about ballroom dancing and want to watch people flying across the dance floor?:) Then join us! You don't have to sign up in couples but we will change partners in between among all participants :)

Program: The dance club TC Academia Zürich offers us the unique possibility to join an introductory workshop (5.30-7pm) covering the basics in English Waltz and Rumba. It is meant to be open to everyone, no prior knowledge is required! The workshop is followed by a whole social dance evening (starting at 7.30pm), chilling around the dance floor, taking pictures in suits and dresses and socializing. Please bring your own food to have dinner during the break.

Dresscode: Formal [suit/long dress] is recommended, casual-formal [shirt/short dress/blouse] is okay too, just don't come in ripped jeans, please. You get a free (soft) drink if you dress up nicely!

We know that being as close to someone you don't know can be intimidating. But don't be shy: Dancing is all about knowing each other's limits and following certain set rules (of dancing steps as well as social behavior).
