Did you always wanted to go to the snowy swiss mountains, but you don't know how to ski? Sledding is the perfect alternative, suitable for everyone.

Even better, we will combine the longest sled ride in Switzerland with a beautiful snow hike. 

The day starts with a train ride to Grindelwald and then a ride on Grindelwald Cablecar. This is followed by a  2h snow hike, which will be rewarded with beautiful views from the top of the mountain. The highlight of the trip starts after lunch when we rent sleds and slide down 1600m on about 15km back to Grindelwald.

On the way back we will pass by the great city of Bern and spend some time on the Christmas Market there

The hike is not difficult, but you should at least have a medium fitness level. The pist is prepared and big, so now advanced technical skills are required for sledding.

Are you ready for a day of Snow?

What you need to bring;
- good shoes for a winter hike and sledding (hiking shoes or winter boots, obviously no sneakers)
- winter clothing in layers incl. gloves
- sun screen and sun glasses
- water/hot tea & snacks and a lunch
- lunch; alternatively, you can also buy lunch in a restaurant on the mountaintop
- ski helmet if you have for sledding
- a 10-CHF-bill for the deposit / you will get it back when returning the sled

You are responsible for your own insurance, ESN disclaims any liability - sledding can be a risk sport

We will meet at the start of Track 32  (track might change, train IC1 towards Geneva)

Tell us if this does not apply to you and we give you an extra price, however, it should not cost more than 15FR extra.

The price includes the train ticket, the cablecar ticket, the sledge rental, and some small snack and maybe a mulled wine in Bern.
