Visit to the Swiss National Museum

Dear exchange students,

Join us on a guided tour in the Swiss National Museum in Zürich.

For a long time, Swiss women remained excluded from civil and political rights. Their path to the introduction of women's suffrage in 1971 and the Equality Article in 1981 was controversial. Ever since the human and civil rights of 1789 declared "free men" politically responsible, women have been fighting for equal rights. And even today, this is still being negotiated by women and men.
Fifty years after the introduction of women's suffrage in Switzerland, the exhibition at the Landesmuseum sheds light on the struggle for women's rights in Switzerland that has lasted for over 200 years.

Here you can find out more about the exhibition: Women.Rights | From the Enlightenment to the present

Those of you who want can explore the museum by themselves for one more hour until 19h.

Please bring your masks!
